How to change background in brawlhalla! (Windows)

So you're logging in and playing, day by day, and you got bored of the basic blue sky background. This is a guide on how to change that!

Firstly, you want to find the image that you want to use as your background. Let's just go with the one that i currently have as an example, this one.

Step two

After you found and saved that gorgeous image that you want to use, go to your files. I'll show a couple of screenshots to make it easier to find. First, go to your local disc (This PC)

After you clicked on UI, you'll see some pictures, but the one that you'll need is called UIBackgroundBitmap.png.

You'll need to cut/copy the picture that you want into that folder, copy the name UIBackgroundBitmap.png, rename your pasted picture like that, and delete the old background picture. When you're done, it should look like this:

Note: Make sure that your file is a png file, not a jpg file! To change this, all you have to do is replace, for example 123.jpg to 123.png. When you change this it gives a warning, just ignore that warning

Step four

That's it! It should work properly now. Start up your brawlhalla, and see if it worked. If it din't, leave a note in the comment section and i'll try to help you.

my pics do not have a png, or jpeg after the names of the backgroounds. so i tried both options and it keeps giving me a black screen, please help me fix this, want to set this up before i start streaming

i get blackscreened if it's jpg or png

For everyone who had a problem with the black screen change the new background you want into a jpeg.

it works but then it just keeps loading the local files forever and ever and gets stuck on 99%

ok so ive done this before, on mac even. to edit brawlhalla files on mac, find the source in finder, find the brawlhalla app launcher, right click, the select "show package contents". its the only way to edit its files, through its contents. i know how to do this stuff, just ask guys.
